If you have a need for a true multi-purpose welder, the PowerPro and PowerUltra series of Multi-Process welders from Everlast fit the need perfectly. With TIG and stick capability, the PowerPro units can tackle most day to day portable repars. However, what portable repair job doesn’t require a way to cut and prep the metal for rejoining? The AC/DC PowerPro and the DC Powerultra and SuperUltra offer a self-contained plasma cutter along with the TIG and stick components of the multi-process welder.
While there is no true “Swiss Army” knife of welders, the PowerPro Si series offers AC and DC pulse TIG welding, DC stick welding capability, and as an added bonus a plasma cutting capability via an extra, self-contained inverter within the unit itself. However, as versatile as this multi-process welder/cutter is, it is important to keep in mind that this combination TIG, stick, and plasma does have limitations. These units are not designed for CNC use on plasma tables nor are they meant for heavy fabricating or production welding chores. If you demand this kind of use from your units, consider our separate lines of TIG/Stick welders and plasma cutters. Many of our customers find that these multi-process welding and cutting machines are a perfect fit for their operation. However, before you buy, be sure that you are aware of the tradeoffs of having one machine that will do it all and several that will do it as a dedicated process.
