Now you are just speculating on this Zoama and this is how rumours get started , first one post and then someone else posts up and the next thing you know the Queen even had a hand in working on it.

Actually Oleg is discussing possibly seeing if Todd might be possibly agree to doing some Videos for us.

Yeah I'm just speculating, but Jody is a "very competent and well known personality" who sells lots of Everlast welders through his videos.

I think they should send a 250 EXT to Jody to try out. I hope the issues are sorted out soon, too bad the other fourm is closed.

Todd - do the Everlast 210EXT adjustment ranges and specs, from what you can tell, match those advertised for this R-tech Digital 210 unit?
    http://www.r-techwelding.co.uk/weldi...ries_210A_ACDC
(For example, is the minimum AC current setting 10 amps as advertised for the R-Tech?_

PS - I noticed that the R-tech advertises "electronic HF", (which implies there may be no spark gap.)

The user interface of the R-tech also sure seems pretty similar to the Everlast 210EXT.

Thanks for the detailed review and info! (And please keep it coming, as you use the machine and learn more about it!)

I think the specs are the same, I havent been able to get onto R-Tech's website for about a week ( cannot connect? ) so I am not positive if it's the same

I get the feeling it may be gapless HF, it should be fairly easy to do, a few years ago we were messing around with transormers from oil funaces to generate the spark on a DC scratch start tig.

I'll be getting into some aluminum this weekend, I will post more info.

I really think Duncan and the others involved in the design and testing of this welder did a great job.

I dunno, I see 3 Hobarts, a Miller and something on the left that might have green sides. The panel almost looks right, but I'm just not getting a clear enough view. The torch is not the same as Todd's either.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

Now I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but how is it that Zoama can edit Oleg's posts?? (I'm gonna stay on his good side, seeing that...) one of them must be Harry Houdini.

Oleg is a very busy man so in the short time he had to post, he mistakenly called me John. I help him out as one of the moderators of this forum. I'm not an employee of Everlast.
