mark, I wanted to let you know there was plenty of thread to back the collet body out a turn or two and get the back cap threaded in nice! thanks.

I will definitely look around online for the torch supplies as I've been telling myself I need to place a big order of filler, tungsten and now torch consumables!

I like the ck wedge collets http://www.arc-zone.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=8753. They fit a little better with the collet body screwed all the way in, the tungsten locks just as the back cap o-ring seats.
They're turned out of brass so I think they'd be hard to wear out.
