    so where is the best place to get the fitting that goes in to gas port on the front on the machine. do i cut it off the hose that has it now which is the hose that come out of the tig torch by the neg connector

    If it's installed in the wrong hose, just remove it and push it into the right hose.

    Use your shop air and blow air into the other long hose.... the air is going to come out the hose on the dinse connector if things are right, or it will come out the torch if the fitting is on the wrong hose.

    Something else is that the argon hose, at least on my torch assembly, does not have reinforcement fibers like the water hose does. But maybe the hoses were connected backwards in your torch.

    well it was installed on the wrong hose, so i do have gas flow now. i did some mild steel on dc welded fine, but still having a hard time with the ac. should i pull the cover and check the points?
