We've had the new low profile for some time now, at least since March.
Zoama, the one above, is from SCC controls, not us.

Is it not for sale ? The only low profile pedal that I find for sale by Everlast is the one I linked to at their ebay store. Why keep this new product secret ?

    Zoama,
I am not sure which product you are talking about?
The low profile pedal that comes from China with our units is standard. We've announced it way back. Duncan introduced it here. No secrets. They've been coming on the units that way since January or February I believe.
The SSC pedal is one we are sourcing from them for our customers. You can go direct, and you'll have to wire it up to the connector yourself and dictate the specs or...We have added the connector, and a level of convenience.
Nothing secret. SSC controls has agreed to work with us for the time being. Most customers have not offered much complaint about the new style from China.

Sorry for the confusion, The pics at Everlast only show the old tall pedal (http://www.everlastgenerators.com/pr...ot-Pedal_1.jpg) same pic in welder description. I guess the new ones are lower profile than the old pedals, just not a true low profile like the SSC. Here's a couple pics of the one that came with my PP256. Updating the pics at the Everlast store would end the confusion.

    Zoama,

The new pedal supplied is low profile, true low profile. 5.5 inches is low. Just because something is designed differently doesn't make one true and the other not. The SSC is only 1.5 inches lower, with less resolution capability....So there are trade offs.

We are working on updating everything, but there are several hundred pages, each one needing fine tuning, and only a couple of knowledgeable people to do it...One being me. And for whatever reason, I was informed to wait on updating the pictures until we were sure we were going to stick with the pedals.
