GTO, i dont have a horse in this ... um, let me say it more plainly, .... i dont have anything to do with the company other than being a satisfied customer with over 30 years of welding/fab experience. I cant resist commenting that your post's sound frustrated and confused. After reading I have no real idea of what specific problems your encountering, other than things are not working out for you...... no details, etc. Do you have any TIG and Plasma experience? The fact that you would tighten a regulator fitting that you determined was leaking, tighter and tighter until it cracked leaves one to question if you have used equipment like this before. These type fittings would NEVER have to be that tight. If it's leaking after being firmly snugged, something else is wrong. To crank on it till it breaks is silly. No shame if you haven't worked with this stuff just maybe be a little more detailed. And im not making excuses for them if the product is defective, but you need to be a little more articulate. Everlast will back their product. Where is the plasma leaking? What is the Tig doing or not doing? what connections. settings etc. It shouldnt take a "bunch of tungstens" to determine something is not working right if your a tig welder, and certainly not ruining cups/nozzle's. So the tig is initiating an arc but no gas flow? What color is the tungsten after you try to weld? Or do you hve the leads hooked up backwards perhaps? Are you using 100% argon? What are you trying to weld? ac or dc, balance setting? ..... on & on.
