Just adding a little note to follow up,
My 40A two-pole breaker has held up flawlessly for hours and days of welding. In my case here, the wall receptacle is a 50A one, which is nice, and I installed a matching plug onto the welder cord. If I experience any tripping with it I will change it out, and make sure the wiring is 6 gauge to boot.

I posted some pics of my first several days of welding in my entire life here:

    Hey Gandalf ,
sorry took me 4 months almost to welcome you to the forum , I dont have a chance to get on here as much as I need to to keep up on what is going on ,, Welcome the the board and also the 250EX is a great unit and not sure if you have but try and get a WP 20 torch head , It will help a lot on keeping you welds steady , but the 17 is a good torch as well and will build up your steady muscles and help your learning curve as well so when you do try different torches it will seem easier..
    Thanks
    Gary

Thanks very much, I am really excited about this, and am practicing a lot. I think the 17 is a good torch to break in on, if I get good with it then I will be laughing if I go to a smaller torch later. It's also kind of relative, so to me, the torch feels just fine .
