Retired from the USAF in 1984, my nick name, Ole Sarge, was given to me by my seriously old Aunt Dottie. She was a gumpy ole gal, but I loved her.

I have been welding off and on since high school, even had a job in the early 70's doing mig for a company in Ohio. It was part time work and payed 5 bucks an hour. This was part time work for me as I was still in the USAF, but the pay was great for part time work, most part time work paid 1.50 or so, gotta remember this was back in the early 70's

Most of my welding has been stick and mig, I have a Miller 250 bobcat, a Hobart 200 amp mig and a Hobard 187.

    Zoomie,

Thanks, just ordered a 256 and the 300 water cooler so soon i will be in with everybody else scratching my head. Looks like their are a bunch of excellent welders on this site.

A guy I am possible going to be selling a few of my goats to out here in no-where Texas, he works for Victor Torch, asked if he had heard of Everlast, said he had, so I guess the word is really getting out here as we live out side of Town.

Looking forward to getting this set up. Follow Jody Collier's web site and he seems to have a lot of good tips on welding, even for us knobs.
