Used my plasma today for the second time. I?ve owned for probably 2 or 3 years. I?m extremely impressed by the cut quality, even though I?m just learning it and didn?t do the machine Justice. What are some essential tools for plasma machines? Specifically I?m looking for a better way to set the stand-off before making my cut. I spent 99% trying to get torch lined up over my scribed line. I know there?s gotta be a better way. I used a length of 1? square aluminum stock as my guide fence. And used a 5/8? piece of square stock as the stand off and then about 5 clamps to hold it all tight. My biggest problem is lead-out. Knowing when to stop before slicing into a place I didn?t want to cut. How do I stop myself from coloring outside the lines?
