    Default 256si DCEN

Can the Everlast 256si run electrode NEGITIVE without damage or must it always be configured DCEP?

Can you explain? The unit is run DCEN for plasma and for TIG. EP for stick. It won't harm if it is run EN for stick. It'll burn up your tungsten if you go EP for TIG. And if you go EP for plasma, watch out. Damage can be done.

    Thanks for the reply Mark.
I fully understand switching polarity with TIG and Plasma...My question is exclusively about switching to DCEN when STICK welding with the 256si...
Is the machine able to weld stick in STRAIGHT polarity (DCEN) or will the machine be damaged.
Only reason I ask is I'm a new owner and I (think) I read somewhere it can fugg up the machine.

    Yea or Ney...

    THANKS!!

No damage. I replied that above: It won't harm if it is run EN for stick.
