Typhoon 230 Manual

Yeah,

I notice that all unit manuals are usually downloadable as a PDF right from the Everlast sales page. For example, the 400EXT:


I?’m guessing that the Typhoon units are so new, that Mark, from Everlast, may still revising those manuals. And they?’ll undoubtedly be available shortly. And, getting a Typhoon unit as soon as possible was a good choice, I?’m sure.

I'm hoping that it is just a bad link on the web page. It looks like there is a file there for it. They do have one for the 330. I would imagine that much of the information is the same.

At least it arrived in one piece. When I bought my first Everlast 12 years ago, the plastic bezel was smashed, and the case bent. They did send me a new bezel. The plasma function on that one died after a few cuts. I never was able to get it to work. The Typhoon packaging was better, though box was a bit bruised and battered. The packing for the cables was all ripped open. I'm assuming that was for state side QA.

Hopefully Everlast will get back to me soon, even if it is just to say "we're working on it. It will be available by <some date>".

So, maybe they took it down, as a revised version will undoubtedly pop up shortly. That kind of a pattern wasn't too unusual for Everlast in the past. But the quality of the PDF manuals created by Everlast on the West Coast has gotten quite good, and they probably don't even allow whatever manual is produced at the Chinese factory to be sent with Everlast units now.

Mark will undoubtedly pipe up soon. Patience, Grasshopper.

From the Everlast videos it seems pretty straight forward, but still it would be nice to have that "new manual" smell

There's access to the 330 manual (and it looks outstanding). Thanks for that.

Honestly, one manual could be more easily produced to cover both Typhoon units. You know, a "Typhoon 230/330 manual", that makes distinctions in the text wherever there are slight differences besides the max amps. I mean, I think I've seen manuals for various product beyond Everlast that do that, because two manuals could be a tad redundant.

But, you'll undoubtedly have a "Typhoon 230 manual" soon, for that super-advanced Everlast TIG unit, that has even more features than a Miller Dynasty unit, for one-third the price, and that comes with a better warranty, too.

It just occurred to me that Everlast, and Mark, are no-doubt busy at FabTech at this time, which undoubtedly puts manual revising on the so-called back burner, I'm guessing.
