I do a bunch of welding on .090 and 1/8? aluminum. I prefer to tig weld it when possible but I do mainly boat work and that?s not always an option due to the amount of welding needed and the location. So I will use my spool gun. I have an ESAB rebel 215 that I use. It does an ok job but when I need to do anything long I really need to pay attention to the heat soak on the material. So I?ve been wondering about a pulse machine to possibly help with heat input into the thinner material. What?s everyone?s opinion? Does anyone have an example of a weld on .090 with a pulse machine? I don?t know much about pulse mig but I have toyed around with the pulse on my 215ext.
