Is the 230i Discontinued?

Is the 230i Discontinued? Is there any risk that parts for it are going to be scarce?
Also... can the 230i handle 2lb spools?

Yes it has been discontinued and replaced by the Cyclone 262. No it is not designed for 2 lb spools. The parts should be available for some time. It is a digitally controlled machine.
