Power i-MIG 275P Flash, Loud Pop, and Tripped Breaker
I'm looking for advice on whether it's feasible to have my Power i-MIG 275P repaired. I purchased it almost exactly 6 years ago and have used it sporadically, but it's always worked well. Yesterday I was setting up to weld on a project and dialing in settings on a test piece when the machine made a loud pop noise and the breaker was flipped. I tried resetting the breaker and the machine turned back on, but as soon as I started to weld again, the same thing happened. Now the machine won't start up without causing a flash, loud pop, and tripping the breaker. I checked the fuse in the machine and it is fine. I took the cover off to get a picture of what's going on when power is applied.
Any advice on whether this appears to be something that can be reasonably fixed?

highplains, the picture you sent is low quality and you didn't say or show where you might be seeing any damage on the board. Can you repost better pictures? Could you video it when you power it up?
All the best, Chuck.

Thanks for the reply.
I'll take the cover back off and try to get some additional pictures this evening. I've attached the original video that the image was taken from. I'll try to take some additional pictures this evening.

Have you called tech support yet? If you did, what did they say? This would be the best way to get this figured out. If you don't have the number, please call 877 755 9353 ext 207.
