Thread: PowerMTS 225 Lightning vs Power I-mig+ Power TIG

  1. Arrow PowerMTS 225 Lightning vs Power I-mig+ Power TIG

I am looking for a new welder for automotive work for DIY work at home. I need a mig welder for thin body sheet metal and tubing and dc/ac tig mostly for piping.
In your opinion, would I be better with a multiprocess or a mig and a tig welder ?
Is there any advantage to going with the PowerMTS? Will I lose some feature that power mig and power tig can offer ?

Mostly low end Amps for really thin material, but not anything significant. But what exactly what features are missing depend upon the model you ultimately select. Most items are small or not as important to the main stream users.
