Yeah,
I have.
And it's sometimes cause by debris in a hose or tank valve getting sucked into a solenoid, causing it to stay open. Welder solenoids are easy to troubleshoot and replace. I swapped one out on my 210EXT, just because I wanted more standardized (NPT) threads to work with at the back of the machine. The new 24V solenoid was about $18 or $20, if I recall correctly, via Amazon.
But, a faulty potensiometer within a foot pedal could undoubtedly do as much too.
Maybe a hose leak at the input to the solenoid, as well.

Gee,
Are you talking the new Everlast unit you just got, or somebody else's unit?
This is the 250EX I just got this month. I spoke with Tech today, they are sending out another solenoid next week. Also just realized my pulse isn’t working on AC or DC.

Gee,
You'll undoubtedly want to send the unit back then, if it's not pulsing on AC and DC.
So, I wouldn't bother fumbling with the solenoid.
Ask them to pick up one way on the shipping to fix the unit (as you're undoubtedly out of the 30-day free shipping period, though not by much).
Or, ask them to just take the unit back, and also ask to upgrade to the 255EXT that you were also considering, and for a quote on what an additional cost for that upgrade and added shipping would be.
Ya, it looks like that what may end up happening, I’ll be talking to them the beginning of next week.

Hi Mark, the fan being some what noisy I didn’t realize that my gas was staying one until I happen to see the check ball floating long after I stopped welding. The pulse also seemed to not be working, however tech sent me a picture of where to set the dials, and clearly the pulse started, or was working all the time. They are supposed to be sending out a new solenoid, and that should be here in the next few days.
