Hi Guys, just ordered my 250EX, Power Cool W350, and Rota flex 18. So that will leave my Miller Syncrowave in the corner for a while 😊 I was going to purchase the 355EXT but I would much rather have the Knobs. Kinda old school, but needed a change. I’ve done quite a bit of research, and Everlast seems to have a great customer service, and I have a few friends with shops, that also have the Everlast. Can’t wait to build a cart.....

I have a syncrowave also, great machine but I just bought the 255EXT, W400 cooler and 18 rotoflex. The machine has done everything I have ask of it beautifully. You will love your 250EX I am sure.

There is no wrong choice here. Preference is indeed a deciding factor when you buy these machines. The biggest thing I like to point out that the 255EXT does have a clear advantage in capability on Aluminum. But coming from a synchro, either will feel like a step forward.

Thanks Guys, what are you guys using for coolant ? Also in my post I meant to say 255ext not 355ext �� I thought the 255 differed with the not having knobs ? And being 5 more amps. However in my shop I don’t get into to much more than 3/16 aluminum and 1/4 inch steel. Mostly panel fab with 060 3003 h13 or 5052. And with steel panel fab I’m at no more than 16 gauge 1008, Chassis ate 120 wall. So the Everlast won’t have to work that awful hard. To get the options it has, I would have been purchasing SD cards. And it seems like the Syncrowave has some issues with there PC2 board.

Received my 250EX Tig along with the 300 cooler. I had to reorder my flex head 300 amp torch, which I thought I added to the original order. Starting on the cart tomorrow, so hopefully I’ll be welding with this outfit Wednesday. ��

Sure will Iron, may as well wait till my flex head comes in Monday, instead of hooking up the other torch that I ordered with it by mistake my cart it almost done, then I have to paint it.....

That's funny, I always build a new cart even if I have an old one that would work.

I'm running a jug of Miller coolant (I think) and topped it up with distilled water. $25 but I figure it's worth it. I love my new flex head 20, its like holding a sharpie after using the 17 for so long. Gave it a good work out yesterday and realized I'm gonna need thicker gloves now.

Sean, I purchased the Miller coolant also, and a gallon of distilled water. Got real busy the last week and a half, so I’m back on the cart, just made the plate for the tank to sit on, and as of yet, I haven’t fired the Everlast up. I may run the cart a few weeks in bare steel, till I get time to seal and paint.

Hi Mark, I started to notice, that there was a bit more options when it came to wave selection. I do quite a bit of light gauge aluminum, most for automotive body panels, 060 3003. I like the 250ex, however the better choice just may have been the 255ext.

Call Everlast immediately, if you're still within the 30-day, 100% satisfaction guarantee period, and ask to upgrade to the 255EXT. They'll send you a UPS sticker or just have UPS pick up the old unit for you.

That's what I did, within the 30-day period, even while a PT 185 was enroute to me. And Everlast redirected the shipment back to their warehouse. I just then sent an addition reasonable payment for an upgraded unit.

And, you probably won't hurt Everlast too bad, since it sounds like you may not have even used your 250EX yet. So, maybe they can still sell the old unit as new or returned stock.

The Everlast warrantee is real, as I discovered for myself, in a couple of ways.

But, yeah, it's easy to under-buy a TIG welding unit.

So, don't wait. They'll honor the 30-day warrantee period, and you'll be an absolutely satisfied customer, like I was and still am.
