161 STH 6010 button

Does anyone know what the 6010 button does?
I like the machine,but 6010,s are hard to keep lit

It's because you are drawing a long arc. You don't draw long arcs with inverters with 6010's. Keep it on the metal and it will drive a hole through it, if you have your arc force and hot start right.

Mark,any suggestions on arc force settings with 6010? the reason i asked about the 6010 button,is cuz I tried it on,and off,and didnt notice much difference.The machine runs 7018 like a champ,and tig welds very nice too
