Teacher liked my 200 ST

First, let me say that I started welding school at age 69 and quickly established myself as class dunce. I got my 200 ST during the first semester and couldn’t do anything with it on Miller settings. I took my machine to school and worked with the instructor - a 28-year union veteran - to figure out the settings. It didn’t take him long to figure out that with Millennium rods the amperage setting needed to be 74 A. He was really impressed with the stringers the 200 ST laid down and began suggesting to all the students that they get an Everlast.
For full disclosure I must admit I am still not much of a welder.

Sounds like many stories I continue to hear. People who know and recognize a good welder, love the PowerARC 200 models, 210STL, or 200i ST's. Even the 161 STH is great.

Good device. If you have experience in welding or have a strong desire to learn how to weld the machine is well suited for: thin metal (sheet 1mm - welds as needed), welding other metal structures, welding stainless wire + a mixture of argon and carbon dioxide, small series production, where you need neat seams, etc... Metal up to 8 mm thick can be well welded. I give photos if anyone is interested.From the downside, through a window you can hardly see how much wire there is left. After stopping welding, the gas continues to run a little longer than expected. Do not worry about the seams in the photo - this is my almost first experience after the purchase. One week later, the seams are better!
