HF odds and ends
I thought I posted this, but maybe it was when the site was having issues. Anyway I have an update and another item to add.
First I found this small diamond wheel sharpener that I got last year as a dedicated tungsten grinder. I used to have a small stone type, but it finally gave up the ghost, and the wheel was a mess from grinding nothing but tungsten. What I did like was that it would fit on top of my welder, or other convenient spot for quick touch ups. This one is some kind of tool sharpener, but the guides were all flimsy plastic, and I never gave them a try. What I did find, was this has more than enough power to grind tungstens, and is small and quiet. After a year's use the diamond wheel still looks like new, and works just as good as ever. Pick one up and you will like it. Even better on sale and with a coupon, then it's a no-brainer. Since it gets lousy reviews for it's intended purpose, they could kill it at any moment, so don't wait too long.

Another item I've seen a lot of people use for this. Magnetic paper towel holder makes a nice pair of welding helmet holders. Can't say how they work for towels as I use the giant roll of Wypalls that have their own giant holder, but for helmets, these are great as long as you have something metal to stick them to.
