I do have the Nova pedal, and have tested it out once but could quickly see it was going to take a bit of practice to get the coordination down.

Do I ever hear you, but pretty sure I'm not going to get too much sympathy from someone in Ohio, or anywhere west of California, most likely. However, it is cold out west and I was really wacked out with the flu this year and don't want that happening again...I have propane heater I can move to the garage if needed, but am going to try to work during the day today, to get some pieces cut for a welding cart project I'm starting. I would really like it to be tig, but have been practicing mostly stick. May be time to change that up...

I'm thinking to just use a traditional smooth slide of the electrode with dipping the filler...opposed to trying to walk the cup, that will be an entire learning curve in itself. I think some miters could work out for me, even given I'm new to tig.
