I rarely go to HF, mainly because it smells so bad in the place, and I figure it's mostly recycled coke cans in the products. I once had a tool break and a broken end mill was in the casting, so it made it clear where most of that stuff comes from. It was a slight disappointment when I first opened the Nova pedal as it had that Chinesium smell to it, much worse than anything inside the welder box or packing...but it must be that rubber on the cord, where the machines have a harder plastic on the power cord.
My $0.02 FWIW, go to your local welding shop as they will most likely carry some CK tungsten, I have no idea where it is made, but it is what most people use. That midwest stuff was hanging on the wall of my LWS as well, so I'm sure it's fine. I don't know about HF tungsten, I avoid going in the place unless I need to.

I know what your saying Alan it does have its own smell its probably the smell of lead they have an over abundance of lead over there that they have been trying over the years to get rid of or so it would seem .And its also kind of creepy walking around in there with all that foreign stuff and you never know when someone might sneak up in back of you and throw a black bag over your head and the next thing you know you wake up in a foreign country sold as a sex slave.
