I need to know the top wire speed of the sm100n and sm3035N. And, I just want to check if the sm3035n will fit the everlast IMIG 140e.
Thanks............

Wire speed is controlled by the MIG on those models and is limited by the potentiometer on the MIG itself. I don't have the 3035 but it should work. Only thing is you may need to change the connector. Or you can call Everlast and tell them the application and they can make sure the correct connector is sent on the gun.

I was hoping to speed up the wire feed a bit. the 140e is just a bit over 300, which is too slow if a want to run .030 aluminum wire and get it to spray. The voltage can be lowered, but I still gotta have more wire coming out to get it spray. It sprays 3/64" 4043 terrific. In fact, it does 1/4" AL with power to spare. However, for thin AL the 3/64" wire drops out of spray if lower the heat to accommodate the thin material.
I didn't mean to say that that the max wire speed is limited to the unit's max wire speed, only that the spool gun is controlled through the wire speed feed control on the MIG, and not on the gun.
