I built a simple drop top cold saw stand from 1"x1"x1/8" square tube, rolling on 5" total lock stem casters.
Hinge bolts are 1/2"x2" with a nylok nut inside the frame. The nuts are welded in the table top but not in the foot operated release.
The finish is Rustoleum 9100 epoxy mastic, applied with a small roller.
The folding top allows smaller storage space and also dumps all the chips off the saw for easy clean up.
You push the lower front cross bar with your foot to lower the top. Lifting the saw locks it back in place automatically.
The saw is a 10" Revolution, Rage 3 DB and one of my favorite tools. It's 100 x faster than a band saw and cuts steel about as fast as wood.
