I agree, I like it when its quiet enough for me to hear the fan. I will say that my MM200 has fan on demand and I purchased it in 1988 new. I have pushed it very hard at times and do not ever remember when the thermals kicked it out for overheating . But if my biggest complaint on an Everlast machine is the loud fan then I would keep it to myself.

My new mts211si is not loud at all IMHO. It seems to move a lot of air too.

When you have no other background noise any machine fan is noisey, I have a 210ext and wc300 combo, one of the mates reckons its louder than the local watering hole cool rooms up the road...that he had just stumbled from (a good thing as he had his car parked there and wanted a ride home)

So why is your avatar an analog machine?

Saw that also, but did not want to comment. But, since you did......

I have a 210EXT and 255EXT. Both are fine machines, but I would not think twice about the 250EX or 200DX. They all weld the same for me. I miss seeing the knobs myself.

Well speaking of 2016 machines...a few are out now and have been slowly phased in. We've kept it low profile since they are selling out so fast with even the minimal chatter...which tells us that they are indeed spot on what we were intending.

    Mike,
The knobs are still here, but they are now digitally controlled.
What we have now in digital that was previously analog controlled but with analog inputs afaik.

    Power i-TIG 201
    PowerPro 256Si
    PowerPro 205Si

This really does improves parts commonality, and modularity between units which should not only improve reliability but simplifies the units to improve repair times. People think often in terms that analog is simpler. It is but it isn't from a standpoint of reduced wiring needed as discreet circuitry is reduced into a common board and these circuit functions are controlled and replaced by a processor. Now, for a guy who likes to poke around in old fashioned electronics, this may be a heart breaker, but for the average guy, this is a less cumbersome, easier to understand approach.

    Gee,

My 210 Ext (2015) is whisper quiet. The 2015 version has four fans, which make it very quiet and not loud at all.

If you have the earlier 210 EXT, can you tells us how many fans it has?

Maybe your torch water cooler is the loudness culprit.

    Peace to you all,
    C. Livingstone
