I am sure a spool gun will work off the + Dinse port. I think Everlast uses the Mig gun port for all their spool guns. Rather than have one specially set up for the MTS welders they just leave it on the mig port to stream line their products. I has to be electricaly the same because you have to put the work clamp in the + terminal to run flux core wire when you reverse the polarity at the mig gun connection.

Gary, I can't follow what you say, but as you say, give it a try. No matter, there is a way to do it the question is the best way. Maybe us 'out of spec' guys will force Everlast to acknowledge a need sometime forward! I'm convinced they are flat out missing a good opportunity to expand into an area that they are obviously absent from.

Im going to be ordering a250EX in the near future, I will order a 7 pin connector for the MTS at that time . I am going to use the + Dinse port for power to the 30A.

Yofish, remember that Everlast is still in its infancy compared to the blue and red machines. I think they are doing a good job. They can not concentrate on every aspect of welding at once. I am sure they will get around to some of the more nitch markets for their products. I agree that their is a large aluminum fab industry that their products could with minor mods corner or at least be a major player in. They have the best duty cycles of any machines in their classes and that alone makes them appealing , at least to me. I also believe that they are justified in not giving schematics for their welders. Its not like the old days where a transformer is a transformer. I believe they have some proprietary designs to protect in this fast moving change in welder designs today. I think on a one to one basis they might be willing to help those of use with special needs for their products but remember once things are on the web they are there for ever and anyone. They are in the stage of gaining acceptance in an industry that is very closed minded and the hobby/light fab industry is the place where people will give them a chance, if they had tried to get into the commercial, industrial, pipeline industries first they would have hit a brick wall. I believe they are getting into the commercial part now with a few inroads to the rest. Be patient and you might find yourself or some colleague being a consultant in a nitch market.
