Hello from NC

Hi everyone I am Dub. I do a lot of fabrication out of my personal shop. I purchased a Power Tig 250EX and love it so far. Although- I can't use the foot pedal because I am paralyzed so need a torch with the amptrol on it. Does anyone know where I can get one to work on my welder?

In addition to Everlast's choices, CK Worldwide came out with a pistol grip torch that has a linear slide in place of a twist knob.

Well- I called CK and they're actually in test faze with still and do not offer anything for my welder. They told me to call back in about 3 weeks and hopefully they will have something. Geeez! I didn't know it was going to be this aggravating to find something for this welder.

Dave-O, That's slick. I would get flex loc and slider and just remove the pistol handle. That is great.

Dub, If you want to use it with your welder, you will need to know the ohms range at the pedal. Cut the cord to the foot pedal and wire it up. 1-2 ON OFF switch 3 4 5 POT (4 is common) 6-7 SHORT (tells the welder to use 3 4 5 to adjust the amps).

Sure is, it apparently comes with a 3D printed foot pedal too. Put the slide pot in the pedal for traditional pedal, remove from the pedal to use in your hand. I saw photos at Jody C's WT&T forum.

Well- when I called CK the tech guy told me that their potentiometer only go to 25k ohm. The potentiometer on the Everlast pedal potentiometer is 47k ohm so the tech guy said that with there potentiometer I most likely wouldn't be able to get the machines full potential out of my machine with their potentiometers.
I also called Everlast and they offer 2 torches, one air cooled which rates around 200 amp, a water cooled which rates at 300 amps. I wanted the water cooled but the guy at Everlast said that they were out of stock and I needed to call them back in 3 weeks. So frustrating....
