Thread: Hi from the UK

  1. Default Hi from the UK

    Hi guys,

Hoping I may be able to find some help here and perhaps in the near future i'll be looking at buying another TIG machine... but first I want to try and fix this chinese made machine I bought second hand (on a tight budget here!) and looking at beginning to learn to TIG for a few exhaust manifolds/stainless exhaust idea's i've dreamt up.

I tune cars a little here and there (ECU calibration) so being able to fabricate exhausts up would be a benefit .

    Hope everyone is well!

    Welcome Poxxxy,

There is a Yahoo group on fixing Chinese welders. A fellow Henry runs it.

Hi Mike, I did join up there but noone has been able to help yet. I noticed earlier posts regarding schematics for a super 200p by janne strom and jakeru that were given in kind faith by everlast. I know there will be variation perhaps but they may help in diagnosing my own 200p .

I did not see email from over there. Weird. I am Everlast2009. I normally help, maybe they removed me.

It is possible. But I have no time to go through my spam. Henry would email me if there was an issue too.

I would check all the diodes and MOSFETs first. I helped Jake with his, but not via the forum, he posted after it was working on here after that. Don't even think my name was mentioned.

Oleg sent me over there to help people in 2009 with the hope to get some machines up, and if we did, it would build good faith. And they would come to us for the next welder. Oleg for some time would take bad ones (non-Everlast) on trade for one of our welders (not free or even trade, but a great price on a working Everlast machine). I am sure those days are gone, but you can contact him at 877-755-9353 ext 201. But that has been a long time ago. He is a good guy and can make it new machine happen.

We have not sold anything non-IGBT at 200 amps in many many years. I can dig for a schematic. But can you read one? Mark might have them as well. But we are very busy. And you will only get a part of the schematic so you need to provide details (and we have to edit the schematic on our dime). I really think you should buy an Everlast welder rather than expect us to repair a welder we did not sell.

If you need TIG on a budget, the 185 is nice, works well, aluminum as well. The 160 will do steel exhaust for dirt cheap as well.

Do you have HF? Do you have welding output power (can you scratch start).

PM me details, email address and phone number. I do not want to lock the thread. But that is a very old generic machine. And no telling what is inside.
