I'm new to the forum & live in NJ.
I've been looking at purchasing an Everlast MIG or MP for some time now - been using a older Hobart MIG - I'm a Hobbiest Fabricator.

The Green machines look pretty interesting - I'll be pulling the trigger soon

When do the new models come out?

What type work will you be doing, or at least majority of work? If you have a MIG, you might want to look at the TIGs for detailed work and small aluminum work. Our goto, in-house machine is the IMIG-250P, but we really like the IMIG-200 as well. Small and light weight, run on under 30 amps.

Most of my hobby is mower deck repair - garden art, etc..
I'm really liking the MTS 250 - was also looking at the RED 210MP.
The MTS looks real good though - tough to justify the price as - I do this for fun.
Do you know if you can use one of those "Arc Pig" HF starters on the 250?

I've never heard of an "Arc Pig". But looking it up, it seems to provide continuous overlay HF for AC. Since the TIG is DC, there is no need or way to do it. In fact, the FAQ's on their site explain this. Lift start is quick, efficient, and relatively clean. This is the same as the other MTS type units on the market.
