    Default I Mig 200 v I Mig 205

Other than the obvious difference of input current what are the practical differences between the two machines? Also can both/either be fitted with a Miller 30A spool gun? Any one have real world experience with adapting the Miller spool gun to either of these machines? Thanks for any input best regards
Never underestimate the power of stupidity.

Ummm, well, yes. It's a treasure hunt! Read a few threads down. What do you plan on doing with it? You won't get ANY help from the green guys with the particulars on doing that hookup - entirely YOYO - Your On Your Own. I did it, kempy did it. I'm happy but can't speak for kempy. If you are planing on doing lots of AL, forget the 200 as it doesn't have the stones to be a shop machine. I can't speak to the 205. Find kempy's work as he hooked up the 30A to a more substantial machine and has detailed info on how to do it.

Look at (http://www.everlastgenerators.com/fo...hlight=MTS250S) this is what I did with Yofish help and it works very well. Just did a test pass on a 3/8 to 3/8 before I do the weld on a flat bead truck later this week.
I don't know if it will work on a iMig205 they don't have the option to run the wire feed from the gun but Yofish might be a help there. My MTS250S spool gun dose have that built into it so that was why I was able to mount the 30A to it. On my iMig250 you have to do it on the machine the spool gun dose not have a wire speed Rheostat controller in it. The 30A and the MTS250S Spoolgun use the same Rheostat 47 ohm.

The new imig 200's have the same output as the 205's. 35% duty cycle at 200 amps. These are now digitally controlled and have been reworked completely. The 205 has good tools for autobody users with spot and stitch timers.
