So with the foot pedal plugged in i only get to control the amperage with the pedal correct? Like if I'm looking for 70 amps then i have to press it down and start the arc til I think im at around 70? Is there any way to set max amps so when the pedal is all the way down I'm at the said 70 amps?
Set your max amps with the control panel - the foot pedal then controls the amps from the minimum up to the max you set on the panel.

That's what i tried doing. I set it at 70 amps on the control panel, but when I use the foot pedal it still goes up to 124 amps which is max on 115v.
