Cut Off saw recommendations?

The replacement blade finally arrived. New 66T for Thick Gauge. When my finances improve, I need to get one for Lighter gauge.

Also the Northern Tools adapter arrived. Haven't had a chance to open it. Too busy working on the plate for the rear wheels. Smoothed it down a little more. Drilled the mounting holes for the casters. Clamped in place. Tomorrow I am doing the plug Welds. Still need to attach the bottom shelf. Not sure if I have enough Gas to do that. I may just drill the holes. And some of the Plug Welds to hold it. Until I can get the tank refilled. On a side note, Just checked the 2 pound roll of .030. Maybe 1/2 Pound left. Should be enough. I have an extra roll just in case.

Good news on the blade. Sounds like you got a good deal. Sometimes good deal takes a little work .

Yea, the gas will go a little faster on the first few tanks, but you will see over time your setting will get better and arc length will allow less gas too.

Maybe keep Flex core around just in case, we have two large CO2 and Stargon tanks, but I would do that in your case. Or keep some 6011/6013 around for a pinch.

Down here you can't get gas on the weekends. We can get steel at A1, but pay the price.

I may just use some of my Hobart FC for the rear plate. Probably should have used it for welding it together. I find its a little tricky. Too high of a setting, It punches through.

The only place I can get the Hobart is at TSC. HD sells the Lincoln brand. But its only a 1 pound roll.

On hind sight, I probably should have used 1/8" for the frame. And 1/16" on the middle shelf. The Square tubing. The cart is starting to get a little heavy now. If I can find a short, 10" piece of 1" Sq. Tubing, I may add it to the bottom shelf. As a reinforcement. In the middle of the shelf.

Just put my adapter together. Haven't tried it yet. Decided to use the Dewalt metal guard. Had a slight issue with the stabilizers. The two bolts that hold the grinder in alignment. I used the two nuts that came with the 10mm bolts. Placed them on the outside of the stabilizers. To lock them in place.

Tried it on the 1/8" bar I needed to cut. Works good. My cuts were pretty square. Except when the Disc started flexing a little. I laid the bar flat. Thinking it would be better than standing up.
