Default New Power i-MIG 140E 120V welder with Video

    Guys,
Wanted to update you on the Power iMIG 140E with a few videos we/I have done.
This new unit is only 399.00! It is still an inverter as well. But no digital readouts or stick weld function.

Here's part 2. With all said and done, this is a nice unit. Next video will demonstrate some welding...coming in the next day or so.

Thanks Mark. I have had one for about a month. Works great!!. Nice and Quiet. I run it on a 12/2 Outlet, 20A circuit breaker. Have not tripped it yet. Love the Inverter design. Newer Technology than the old "Buzz Boxes" Transformer models.

The one in the Video, Does it have the 2 or 3M Torch? Mine came with the 2M.

Kevin Caron did a Video review on this unit. That is what Sold me on it over the Longevity 140 unit. The Price is what sold me over the Hobart and Lincoln models.

2m. Admittedly it is short, but it works fine as the unit is very light weight and portable.

I welded a rusted through gas tank back together that we cut apart along the bottom seam and sandblasted the interior with it.

When I can afford to, I am going to get the 3M cable. The 2m doesn't give much room to maneuver.

That quick connect torch is AWESOME! That's the one thing I worry about when moving my Lincoln Weld-pak box around. I don't like leaving the torch sticking out the front of the unit like that in a trunk/bed with lots of other stuff. I haven't seen that kind of thing before. I really do need to get out of the cave once in a while!

I couldn't live with a 2m whip. I do mostly automotive stuff with the above welder, and that would simply not be enough length to work under a car at all.
Not so obvious and ruthlessly odd.

In the video you mentioned the 2015 model will have a longer torch. Any idea when that will happen?

    Thanks.

    It has a 3m now...rather than the 2m.
