You are absolutely correct. However, I didn't take the photos, as the box is currently in the basement of a friend's house.

I think the mistake in that was that you put a "buy it now" price. That usually puts a damper on sales as people already suspect the reserve price and aren't willing to bid. Part of the fun is getting it a 990.00 not 1000.00

I usually prefer buy it now on ebay. You might be right, though. If it doesn't sell, I'll change that and a few other things and re-list it.
