Thread: 200DV "pro package"

  1. Default 200DV "pro package"

Hey guys new to the forums and looking to purchase a 200dv in the near future. I would like to know if Everlast offers a pro type package on the 200dv? Specifically I would like the SSC pedal, a CK17 torch, and an scfm regulator. I am hoping they have some type of package so I can all this at a better rate than buying separately.

    Thanks!

Yeah I plan to do that. I am hoping the sales folks would use this as an opportunity to chime in.

They'll refer you back to me on CK products. And yes we can put together a package for you. I might suggest the FL150 with superflex cables instead of the 17. Just give me a call in the next few days when you are ready, and we can discuss the options. I have to go to the Dr. with my wife tomorrow, so I may be out a good bit of the day.

Thanks Mark. Will do. I was thinking the super flex as well with the 25' option cable.

So I called today and pulled the trigger on a 250ex with what I call the pro package. CL26 torch and ssc pedal. They even shipped it all today with arrival on the 28th. Off to a good start Everlast.

Honestly I asked Oleg about the construction and reliability and he said the 250 was more of a commercial machine. That and it wasn't that much more expensive for the 250. I don't need dual voltage specifically so I figured just go for it. I was trying to find a used miller or lincoln but I just couldn't justify spending used money when I get a 5 yr warranty. And FYI there is a dynasty on dallas CL that's busted and only 2 yrs old and a lincoln invertec at 4yrs old and they both want more than I paid for the 250.

yep, i searched high and low for a cpl of months for a used Miller. 1) extremely few available. 2) those that were, were far more spensive than what i paid as well.
that said, why buy used w no warranty when i cld buy new for less and get a 5yr.
Crazy!....hence the decision of Green for me.

I have never used the 200DV, but have the EX and EXT (both flavors). I like them all. But for the dollar, the 250EX is hard to beat. Knobs will take a couple of minutes, after that, you will love it. Never had a need for a welder to run on 110vac, and the couple I "had" two use, I would never bother. Other will have a reason I am sure. But the 250EX has been around a long time and I sort of miss mine.

Anyone know the best place to get a torch parts kit gas lens etc for the 26??

The 200DV is as well built if not better than the 250EX now. It is a commercial as any of them and one of our best units. The dual voltage is a big bonus. Even if you don't think you will use it, it is likely you will. But I don't think the torches shipped together as they are drop shipped from CK. Usually about 1-2 week delivery time. Foot pedal is the same as it has to be built by SSC then drop shipped.

As far as the 200DV and 250EX, you really don't get anything more "useable" on the 250EX, if you are using the foot pedal. You get 50 more amps and a slight bit more cleaning adjustability.

Should have talked with me to begin with on this as I would have given you that option at the time of purchase. We have them on our site. CK offers a stubby gas lens kit too if you want to go down a size.

Actually they had the 26 in stock with a 25' super flex cable so that is coming with the welder. I am not sure on the adapter and the pedal but I guess I won't be welding next weekend if that is the case but I may just be able to use the standard stuff.

Mark while I agree the DV is nice I have my smaller 110v Lincoln Mig for light duty stuff. I sent you an email on the gas lens stuff.

We don't stock CK product, the last I knew. We drop ship only.

That's what I thought on the ck stuff but to my surprise it was there. Mark I will give you a ring when it comes time for the water cooled upgrade. I am hoping I can get up and running next weekend as I would like to finish fabricating some suspension parts.

The Welder is here!!! I actually got two packages. One box had the welder and upgraded torch. The other was the pedal from SSC. I am missing the dinse connector. Is this a 3rd package or ??? I will be giving sales a ring tomorrow.

The box was pretty beat up but the welder was intact and packed well in foam.

Emailed Oleg this evening expecting a response tomorrow. Got one within 5 min. Kudos! Not too many companies still exhibit this level of service especially after the sale. I am a sales professional myself so it's nice to see people have the same passion for customer service.

Got a note from Oleg. CK never shipped the Dinse. Oleg is going to send me a refund and I ordered the connector SL8-35QD from weld fabulous. I also ordered a stubby gas lens kit, cable cover and some filler.

It's be 15 yrs since I ran a tig welder. I learned on an old sine wave miller machine so I am hoping this is easier than that box.
