Thread: ouch, that hurts!!

  1. Default ouch, that hurts!!

While practicing my tigging today, after working up quite a sweat,I unintentionally leaned against the ground clamp and got a nasty shock through my sweat-soaked long sleeve shirt.
Also, I think I felt a mild jolt a couple times just putting the filler rod into the arc.
    Anybody else had this pleasure?

Every welder who has ever welded for any amount of time has experienced that. It'll happen if you get wet or are standing in water.

Happens all the time here in Phoenix.....

It happens to me almost every time I welding and it starts to rain and I trying to get the job done should just stop and wait it out but not always possible.
