Thread: First project with my power tig.

  1. Default First project with my power tig.

Posted over at ww as well. Thought I needed a coupon stand for school so I picked up some black iron, bolts, and a clamp. Good first project. The machine is great and at school we run millers and thermal arc. The only thing that was tough for me was the 26 torch with the zip tied switch is bulky and hard to handle. I will be ordering a pedal and a 9 series torch in the near future. If anyone is in the DFW area and wants to run my machine to see the quality of the everlast product, feel free to contact me. Can't figure out how to flip them so turn your screen is my solution.

It's a good feeling when you build something isn't it...your shop is too neat and organized for me....if I don't trip over something I think I'm in the wrong shop...lol

Same here. Keeps you young stepping over stuff, until you break a hip. hahaha..

Even has the tank safety cap on a shelf, I can't find 1/2 of mine, but I look on the floor when I need one.

Klr. We are just kidding with you, good work and looks good far as the welds. Keep us posted on future projects.

I don't know what I'm going to do with these new little welders with carry handles. I always had my safety caps stuck over the lifting hook mounts on the tops.
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!

Funny. We have a hat rack now with the helmets on it. Maybe I can put them on the extra spokes. His shop will be messy soon enough. Just hope he figures out how to rotate the pictures. Hurts my neck.

I was like that at the begin but after many years of fab work and getting more tools it will be cluttered then you just have to clean it up, then you are looking for hours to find things you put away.

Thanks for the compliments. Unfortunately when we bought the house almost two years ago the agreement was my wife gets to park her car on one side. So it is always clean. Anyways, super happy with my machine and glad to be doing some tiggin! I will post up my next project.....maybe a cart?
