  1. Default Harbor Freight Welding Cart

Harbor Freight has their Chicago Electric welding cart on sale for $49.99 ($34.99) if you hunt the coupon.

I got one for my Powertig 185 that will be here tomorrow. Put it together in about 20 minutes. Will hold 100 lbs, so it should work great. Went together without a hitch.

There are a few different priced coupons floating around. This might be the lowest.

There is a newspaper in Salt Lake City that always seems to have the lowest HF coupons, but I don't have a link here, I'll find it when I get home. This might have come from there originally. HF seems to make a habit of having a ton of different prices depending on where the ad is.

Saw a pretty nice New one there today, 3 drawers, hooks on the side for Hoses and a Tank platform in back. Just under $100 ($130 less the 25%) looked OK...

I ordered one off HF website as they couldn't keep them in stock here in Houston. The top was't long enough for my PowerPro 164 so I topped it with some 1/2" plywood. I also mounted the argon cylinder brackets on some 2x4 pieces to move them back and to one side so my air compressor regulator wouldn't hit it. Also put a piece of rubber under the cylinder, slid some old bike innertube around the cylinder chains and mounted some old water hose on the brackets where the cylinder would rub on them. went and bought a tee bracket from the Home Depot lumber dept and installed a 1/4" tee and two ball valves to switch between argon and air. It all worked out pretty good.

I know this is an old thread, but I just set my system up on the HF Vulcon cart. It lists for $299, but got it with a 25% coupon. Not a cheap cart, but enough space for 3 machines, 2 tanks, and plenty of enclosed storage.

How sturdy is this thing? I've been considering grabbing one but haven't had chance to go by store and see if they have one assembled on display yet. I've got a 280sth and a powermax 30xp. sounds like 280sth should be able to fit according to listed dimensions.

It doesn't feel top heavy or wobbly with machines up there? What about when you start pulling drawers open?

Sorry I haven't gotten back about how sturdy it is. So far no problem. Build quality is very good for HF. It took about 1/2 hour to assemble the wheels handles and other stuff, but I expected that. It is much more sturdy than the cheap one they have. Drawers are good with reasonable slides. The top one has lots of dividers for consumables. Hope that helps.

I think I'll probably just build my own cart I want to use pneumatic tires on it so I can easily roll it on a gravel driveway, but thanks for your feedback on this cart.

I took one of 25% off coupons in there and they wouldn't let me use it on a Vulcan welding cart it says right in the fine print on the coupon cannot use on the purchase of any Vulcan products.
