It has been said many times. Practice practice practice.

Start on steel and get the hang of it, then move on to aluminum. Once you have aluminum TIG down all the rest will come together. Aluminum is harder to see as the color really does not change.

Also, don't leave stick welding out. It works well on a windy outside job.
