I cut and pasted the relevant material from the site and used the elipses to indicate that there was typical job stuff in front of it. What a lot of welders like you don't consider is that you may know what you know, but outside of that, your experience is limited, and the welding world is greater than your knowledge base and your ability to keep pace with new developments and trends in the industry.
Can I consider that you are trying to call me a liar? What would I stand to gain? See, liars have reasons to lie. I had none. I was simply offering my bit of broad based knowledge about the issue to help the OP. I talk to welders and customers all over the United states and I glean information from them. This is part of my job. Lying about it would only harm him, and as a customer, why would I want to do that?
I think Carl, shield arc, or cep on some forums has mentioned that this was something he did as well from time to time, or that he too has heard of it.
