I do remember the pics of the old unit with the dial labeled Wire Speed/Stick Amps. Not sure why it is labled straight up as MIG amps with the correction factor for stick amps off to the side now. The range at idle is 55(actually speed, 0 IPM) to 286 (actual speed not yet tested). Maybe after some futzing around I'll get it all figured out.
I went with the SM200. Seems pretty well built and it was plug and play. Sweet! Only downside is that the speed is not controlled at the gun. Mark, I think you mentioned a while back that could be fixed with some rewiring, might you happen to remember where that info is?

Thanks Mark, I'll check that in the AM. I tweaked the pins in a bit and got it working, but doing it that way didn't seem right to me.
Even after laying just a couple bead-like formations, I can tell already I'm gonna like MIG and this machine in particular. Wish I didn't have to wait till Thursday to get supplies and get going with it. Guess that does give me more time to watch Jody's MIG collection though.
