Hey guys,
Im going to be painting a few things in my garage. Since I am not going to be painting my new everlast welder I am going to match a few other things to it.
Does anyone have any luck with matching the vibrant green color?

I did a search here on the forums because I thought someone had posted it, but my recollection may be incorrect because I couldn't find it. The topic has come up enough that I've thought about bringing a piece of a machine case to Lowes or Home Deep's paint department, where they use a light spectro something or other machine to match paint colors... then post the results here. But life keeps getting in the way and I never got around to that little project.
BTW welcome to the forums!

I was more successful in my search. But it wasn't quite what I remembered, either. There are a few people that have had the green color matched at a paint store. But as far as off the shelf, this one seems to be the best match.

It's "Valspar" brand, premium enamel in 12oz. spray can,#65036 Garden Green
There is also a Rustoleum green, but it's not as good a match.
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!
is the valspar paint a rust paint?
I will be color matching my band saw and welding table legs.
Valspar makes an anti rust paint, but I do not know if it comes in that color. Lowe's carries the brand so you can look there or order online.
The one that was mentioned is a spray enamel.

They no longer list that color, so it might be discontinued. But it looks like you can still get some HERE

It's no secret, but probably not known. It's RAL 6018.

Also known as Kawasaki green.

Kawasaki has used various colors of greens over the years, so it's better to stick with the RAL color. There's a shade or two that's close, but not an exact match as well. I think 6038 and 6017 are fairly close. I'd say 6017 is older Kawasaki green.

For Small parts, the $49 Harbor Freight Powder Coat gun, and old toaster oven (Do not use the Mrs' Ktchen oven, you will not survive the experience).

I REALLY like using powder coat for the durability. For Larger parts, you can usually find an old single wall oven at the salvage center, dump, or on Craigslist, that people throw out when remodeling. Can be wired to a L50 plug and just placed under or on a workbench, lougged into the welding outlet.
