Mark, I certainly didn't mean to frustrate you, I'm exited that I am finally getting my first welder, AND I know how to use it (school). You have absolutely been very helpful in answering my questions, over several different forums ;-) However, I belive I called twice today, and the first call was to leave a voice mail... when I spoke with someone (Oleg) I didn't know that at the time, as I thought I heard his name was alex. We went over some options but it was very hard to understand oleg, his accent and it sounded like he was in a factory of some sort.
" working us back and forth with many notes, phone calls and emails over several different products" certainly wasn't "working" anyone with most of my question right here on the forum and 2 PMs to you, I believe one email, and a question on a youtube video, but if you felt worked by me, my apologies, I should have just called and spoke with you but being on the phone for me is very hard, bad reception sometimes mixed with screaming kids I have to keep my eye on makes this a very frustrating action for me no joke! lol
"then without even mentioning to us this 250 was in the equation, and out of nowhere you tell us well, I purchased a Longevity. And what I said is there in black in white on Tractor By Net in detail... If anything, it's just a little frustrating, nothing more meant than that."
I can see where your coming from, I should have mentioned it, however I explain my thought process behind that decision, by no means is it set in stone, but the money to performance ration was best with that one unit, as the PA 3000 was to much and the PA 200 lacked a few things that I would like to have, a bell and whistle one can say, I don't think anyone can blame me for that. I have looked at a lot of units. There is about 5 units on my list 3 which are everlast and 2 from other brands, the units I can realisticlly afford, I would love to have you top of the line unit ;-) but the 3 I can afford that I would like are the itig 200, PA 300, and the PA 160 sth, to make things more complicated for me is the whole amazon part of the equation! The 2 other units are the L250 and the tigweld 160 ex, however at the $600-$700 range, I might be over reaching as this unit is to practice outside of school, and will not e used to make money with or make any sort of repairs with... lol so I think I laid out "me" on the table here... I didn't mean to rub anyone the wrong way or "work" anyone, over even overwork anyone, you simply have a new, exited, unsure, low budget customer on you hands! :-) rest assured that as time passes when I start working (4 months away from receiving my degree and joining the pipeline and about a year away from opening a small shop with my brother) you will have a loyal return customer with a MUCH bigger budget. Customer service is everything to me man....
Yet somehow, I feel guilty for "working" you guys, I don't believe a customer should be made to feel guilty no matter what the situation is. Even if I kept the 250, I was still trying to figure out a way to get the Everlast welder I wanted! hence me asking about the financing options that were available.. since I have good credit.
Also, as far as the 250s you mentioned having trouble, 2 units is hardly a standard, I'm sure you fellas have a few units that started malfunctioning here and there, the important part of that statement was that they were being sent in for repair, which means to me that the company is willing to fix the product, thats awesome, I would expect nothing less from any company I deal with, now OR in the future. Oleg worked out a deal for me, and if anything happened to the unit with in 5 years, I wouldn't base my review of the unit on the failure I would review the unit based on how well the company took care of it.
