Hope you enjoy your unit. Feel free to contact us directly or post here if you have any problems or questions. To answer a few of the points you brought up:

The tig torch has always had a switch for on and off. There is no power adjustment and never has been on the torch itself. This is strictly for operation of the panel control. If it was posted otherwise elsewhere, then it was incorrect.

The manual is available online on the main website. Please download it. We have repeated this here on this board, but I guess it is often missed. A revised version will be up soon, but it should be adequate to get you started and include all you need to set up.

As far as the breakdowns, tig torch assembly is pretty much universal, and even in the instruction manual for the other guys, it is not given much if any consideration. Even with incorrect assembly argon flow could not be restricted, and never has been reported in regard to incorrect torch assembly.

All plasma torches come assembled as they are tested before they are boxed with the unit. Upon disassembly, it is easy to see how the torch goes back together. As far as problems with flow and that sort of thing, I don't remember anyone having issues on our board and haven't received any calls about it unless someone "forgot" to put in the swirl ring. But it is fairly obvious where it goes.

As for the loose consumables, they are usually in a bag or on a vacuum packed cardboard sleeve. I am not sure why yours arrived in a loose condition.
