It's a mosfet unit. It's our entry level just like the Super Ultra. About the same.

A year ago I purchased a multipro 205 under the assumptions it was the same/similar to the Power Ultra 205 just blue. My multipro 205 recently failed while using the plasma cutter process but I think it was defective from the start. I am aware that this is an entry level unit but I am a bit confused about the markings on the case of the multipro 205. As you can see in the pictures it clearly states on the side of the box "IGBT inverter technology". This can be very confusing for the consumer, especially when there is not much information to be found on this model unit. Prior to purchasing this unit I did research to insure I was going to get something that was going to last and didn't find anything on these units failing. However, if the sales listing would have stated it was a mosfet, I would have avoided this inconvenience of a failed unit and purchased a more expansive IGBT unit. I am now waiting for the RMA process to either repair or replace my failed unit but I would have much rather spent the money this will cost me on a better one from the beginning . As always. you get what you pay for. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not upset with EVERLAST or their products. I'm upset with myself for taking a chance to save a buck and not buying a machine that was definitely IGBT.

I made sure to build a wood cage for the unit so it doesn't get destroy in shipping like the last thing I shipped!

I am really sorry to hear of the difficulty. The logo is a set company logo, as we have tried to explain before. It wasn't mean to mislead, but because we focus on that product technology, it was included as part of the logo design. If you go to Kentucky Fried chicken, and buy a fish sandwich, or to Captain D's Seafood, to buy chicken strips the companies won't change their logos/names on the sign, or the boxes the food comes in for one small product. It's simply part of the Everlast corporate logo design, and is screen printed on all our welders. Hope there's no hard feelings.
