2" sch 80 tig root 7018 cap 6g test help

Figured out why I couldn't get the root in all the way. I was keeping my tungsten in the cup to far and couldn't reach the end of the bevels to use the arc force to push it in. I was breaking down the walls but I was holding the tungsten back and it was making the filler wire bridge over the bevel and not pushing it to the inside. Thank you Mark and everyone else for your help. Finally getting it and now I'm not to nervous about the test. I'll let you all know how it goes after the 17th of June.

Sounds like you've made some great progress. That is what I like about this forum, it has some great people who are willing to help out. I also like the fact that Everlast staff are both knowledgeable and active on this forum.
