Thread: Help With My New PowerArc 160 STH

  1. Default Help With My New PowerArc 160 STH

I just received a powerarc 160sth tig stick dc machine from everlast. I saw this machine on welding tips and tricks .com and jody was demonstrating burning a 1/8 7018 rod. To do this he bumped the amperage to 140a. My machine is hooked in my garrage about 50 ft from the box and im maxing out at 125a. He text me back about his set up and said that the only difference he could see was that he dropped 10 ft out of the box so no room for voltage drop. Before i drop a new line i was wondering if any one else had or knows anything about this issue.

Please let us know how it works out. 50' should not be an issue with the right sized cable.
