Default I was so stoked - my PP50 was deliverd Tues...but

After placing my order on the 21st, and the shipment seeming to be stuck somewhere between Everlast and the UPS depot for 3 days (showed as picked up), it was finally delivered to my work Tues afternoon.

I picked it up Weds, and I was so looking forward to playing with it for a while. I had big plans for it today and Monday.

I open the box, pull the unit out and right away start looking for the dreaded damage in shipping - of which I found none.

Then I take a look at the whole picture and something does not look right. Wrong connection port for the torch, supposed to be the new Euro style. Crap, they sent me an old model. Then I read the label on the front...

SuperCut 50 - Wrong freaking item!!!

    AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!

I got a hold of shipping and told them what happened. The sent me a return label and told me that when UPS picks it up, I need to call them and then they will ship the correct one. Not quite completely acceptable for me. The correct order should have gone out their door ASAP, preferably with faster than regular ground.

I can understand them wanting to make sure they get their unit back, but they have my CC number on file, so they can bill me if I fail on my end of the deal. SOP for every other company I have ever dealt with regardless of total dollar spent or value of item.

Oh well. The return goes out today, I'll call them again to let them know it is supposed to be picked up at my work today (I am only at the office a couple times a week), then hopefully I will see my correct order by mid next week sometime.

    Back to the waiting game.

It was another week or so after the incorrect item was returned that the correct one showed up, with my 75pc consumables missing and IIRC one other item. Not my best transaction with a company, but the plasma cutter has been excellent.

Light, easy to get assembled (kept in my work service truck) and running. I daresay faster than digging out my Oxy/Acel torch by the time I get the metal heated up to cut. Used to be I would only dig out the plasma if I had a fair amount of cutting or weld removal to do, now it's my first choice. Oxy/Acel only comes out for metals 5/8" or thicker. I just wish I could find some gouging tips locally.
