If I was doing what you want. I'd do it this way, Take one wire coming off the torch switch and run it thru a micro on - off switch. Gum band the torch switch open and step down on your foot pedal. Torch should fire and be controlled by the foot pedal. Now if you want to use the torch switch for control. Lock down the foot pedal and control the torch with the finger switch on the torch.
