That's a stout table! I wish I could build one of that size, but I ain't got no room! Your gusset design looks strikingly similar to the design I just finished welding onto one of my projects....well they're slightly different.
We had 5'x10' rolling tables at work that were made from 2" thick wall pipe and heavy angle, and we used those tables all the time for dropping shop deliveries on. It worked out really well, especially with the massive forklift we had. Many times I loaded 2000lbs. or more onto one table while burning 20 sheets of metal on the plasma table. A table like yours will work for many things besides just welding too.
How do those 5" Harbor Freight casters roll with the weight of that table on them?

New Everlast PowerTig 250EX that is begging for me to come up with a few welding projects so it can stretch it's legs. Did someone say aluminum???
MISC. TOOLS:
Atlas 618 lathe
Milwaukee Porta Band with custom made stand
Dewalt 4-1/2" angle grinder
Dewalt 14" chop saw
Strong Hand Nomad portable table
Juki sewing machine I've had for years (yes I know sewing is for girls)
They roll just fine right now. How long they will last is another story lol. Or how well they will do with a 300 or 400 pound piece of steel plate on it while I wheel it down my driveway into my shop is still up in the air. We'll see lol. I think they'll be ok though. HF is what it is. It's hit and miss. I've seen good reviews about these casters though.

The casters from HF seem to be one of the few things that are consistent in their quality. Granted, I've never overloaded any of their casters, and I always make certain that I buy the heaviest duty ones that I can afford (or that will fit the project I'm working on, in terms of dimension). I've been pleasantly surprised by their casters and I've never had an issue. I don't think I would use them on an extremely expensive project, or one where safety was a priority though.
Several years back, I had a buddy that built a nice small block Chevy V8 with aluminum heads and all the high performance "goodies" that set him back $5,000. He was a little disappointed after the $50 HF engine stand he chose to build the engine on broke just before the engine was completed. Like you said, HF is hit and miss.

Yeah I would never trust there engine stands. I had to use one of their cherry pickers when I was in a pinch and a buddy let me borrow his. I'd never buy one of those. It flexed a ton and felt very unstable compared to others I've used and owned in the past. I'd rather build my own than buy one of theirs. And I might just do that soon. I need one when I start tearing into my Pathfinder. I have big plans for that. Roll cage, custom interior, new paint, the whole works. I'm going to try and do all of the work myself. Should be interesting given that I've never painted a car before lol. I've got a LVLP gun on the way to hopefully keep me from having runs all over the damn place lol.
